"We are a Professional IT Consulting Firm in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We have over 300 clients and 10 employees. In 2000 we had to do an upgrade to a new system since our old one was no longer supported. The new time and billing solution promised us everything we needed--Complex tax and expense calculation, tight integration with our accounting software and Flexible billing. However it never worked! Many promises broken and NINE months in to the project we had to go back to a manual system. Yes Pen and Paper for an IT Consulting Firm! Embarrassing to say the least. Plus we had to add a new administrative staff. So we were “once bitten twice shy!” We reviewed Abak for a very long time. Our due diligence required us to review the company, the product and the support. At first, we were very hesitant. "Abak is an extremely versatile time and billing program. It contains enough settings to satisfy the most complex company setup and yet is simple enough for quick time entry. Time is easily approved and invoices can be generated individually or in a batch. Expenses can be input and sent directly to Accounts Payable. Abak also contains enough data to keep management updated on the status and history of clients, projects and employees.
